Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

PUBLICATION RULES

1. Studies submitted to the journal should not have been published or submitted for publication anywhere before.

2. Articles submitted to the journal must be in Turkish or English. Articles published in the journal should be written in accordance with the rules of science, grammar and spelling. In this respect, the responsibility belongs to the article authors. All publication of accepted studies will belong to the International Journal of Business Science and Practices.

3. Author (s) must prepare their articles within the framework of the journal publication rules and in accordance with scientific ethical rules. Articles that are not prepared in accordance with the rules will not be evaluated.

4. The first review of the manuscripts submitted to the journal is made by the editorial board in terms of the suitability of the relevant work to the journal's mission. Studies deemed appropriate in this respect are then examined in terms of their suitability to journal writing boards. Studies not submitted in accordance with the spelling rules are returned to the authors. The works that are found in accordance with the spelling rules are then added to the internationally accepted turnitin and so on. It is scanned by similarity screening programs (one-to-one quotations cited in accordance with academic rules, excluding bibliography and footnotes). Studies with more than 20% similarity are directly returned to the author / authors with the screening result report.

5. Among the articles submitted to the journal, those whose first controls are successful are sent to at least two referees with the decision of the Editorial Board. If the Editorial Board deems necessary, it may increase the number of referees or apply to the Advisory Board. Referees who evaluate the article can accept, reject the article or request a correction from the authors. Corrections requested by the referees should be corrected by the authors of the study within 30 days and sent back to the journal. Articles submitted to the journal are accepted if they receive a positive opinion from at least two different referees and published with the decision of the Editorial Board.

6. Before the accepted manuscripts are published, the responsible author is deemed to have filled in the "Publication Right Agreement" that shows the order of the authors and accepts that all the publishing rights of the manuscript belong to the International Journal of Business Science and Applications indefinitely.

7. While the layout work is being done, the author (s) must respond to the submissions sent to them for control and correction within the specified periods. The works of the author (s) who do not respond within the specified periods are postponed to be evaluated in the next issue.

8. The articles that have successfully completed the evaluation process are published taking into account the date of arrival and the approval of the editorial board.


WRITING RULES

1. The average length of an article should be around 7500 words. Articles should not be shorter than 5,000 words and longer than 10,000 words.
2. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must not have been published elsewhere before or have not already been sent for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts are accepted in Turkish and English and the author (s) must prepare the manuscript according to the American Psychological Association (APA) / Publication Manual (6th edition).

2. Submitted works should be arranged in the following order: Title page; Self; keywords; main text (Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion); References; Attachments (if any)

3. Title, Abstract and Keywords: The title should be short, clear and sufficient to reflect the article. Turkish and English titles should not exceed 15 words, if possible. The title of the article should be written in capital letters in 12 pt. Bold and centered; The concept of "essence" should be used instead of abstract. The abstract should include a brief summary of each of the main sections of the article, including information that will enable the reader to decide to read the article in its entirety. Abstract, Abstract keywords and keywords text should be 11 pt. The abstract should be at least 150 and at most 250 words long. Key words consisting of at least three and at most six words should be written under one line.

4. Main Text: The articles should be written using MS Office Word software program (extension .doc or .docx), not exceeding thirty pages. The font size of the texts sent to the journal should be 12.

5. Table, Figure and Annexes: In these sections, font size should be 11 or 10 as standard for the whole text.

-The alignment of the article text, excluding the headings, will be "Justify". Headings in the text will be left aligned. In the article text, Indent: Left: 0, Right: 0, Special: First Line, Value: 1.25. In the bibliography section, it will be Special: Hanging, Value: 1.25.

-Page number should be given at the bottom of the page, centered.

7. Numbering the main text, tables, figures and annexes: Subject headings in the article should be numbered according to the Arabic system (1., 1.1, etc.). Only the first letters of the words of the headings should be capital. While preparing the tables and figures, the dimensions of the journal and the general design should be taken into consideration.
Figures and tables should be given a title and sequence number and centered on the page. Titles should be placed at the top of the tables and below the figures. Equations should be numbered sequentially. The sequence number must be in parentheses and on the far right of the page.

Among the authors with the same surname, the first letter of the name is given alphabetically before the reference, even if the publication is older. For example; Vasfi, E. (1998).
