Determination of The Most Suitable Supplier in The Furniture Industry with the AHP-VIKOR Hybrid Method

Choosing the right supplier is one of the most important factors for a business to be successful. By choosing the most suitable supplier for the company's conditions; decrease in the purchasing costs of the company, an increase in competitiveness and customer satisfaction will occur. In this study, the optimum supplier selection problem is considered as a decision problem. Evaluations were carried out with the AHP-VIKOR hybrid approach. The five criteria in the study were evaluated with the AHP method and their weights were determined. The priority order of the alternatives was determined by the VIKOR method. The model of the problem was created considering the hierarchical structure of AHP and calculations were made using Microsoft Excell program. As a result of the analyzes carried out; The priority order of the most suitable suppliers in the relevant furniture sector has been determined as A2, A1 and A4. The results of the study were transferred to the authorities of the relevant furniture business.
